Cookie Policy
localStorage (not cookies) to remember your current session on your device only. No data is shared with any third party.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are sent back to the server with each request and are commonly used for authentication, preferences, and analytics.
2. Cookies We Set
We do not set any cookies. The Temp Mail website does not use cookies of any kind — not for sessions, not for preferences, and not for analytics or advertising.
3. localStorage (Not Cookies)
The app uses browser localStorage to store your current session data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is:
- Never automatically sent to the server with HTTP requests.
- Not accessible to other websites or third parties.
- Only read by the JavaScript on tempmail.savemanager.site itself.
| Key | Contents | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
tm_session |
Disposable email address, bearer token, expiry timestamp | Keeps your inbox accessible if you refresh the page, without requiring a new address to be created | Removed automatically when the address expires (max 60 min), or when you click "New" |
tm_read |
List of message IDs you have opened | Shows which messages are unread (bold indicator) | Cleared when a new address is created |
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not load any third-party scripts, fonts, analytics tools, or advertising networks that could set cookies. The only external infrastructure used is Cloudflare, which operates the servers that serve this website. Cloudflare may set its own cookies on some requests for bot mitigation purposes; this is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
5. Email Viewer iframe
When you open an email that contains HTML, it is displayed in a sandboxed <iframe> with the following restrictions:
- Scripts inside the email are blocked.
- Remote images are blocked by default to prevent tracking pixels (you can opt in per message).
- The iframe cannot access your
localStorage, cookies, or any other browser storage. - Links open in a new tab with
rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow".
Any cookies a linked website sets are in a separate context and are not related to Temp Mail.
6. How to Clear localStorage
You can clear all locally stored session data at any time:
- Chrome / Edge: DevTools → Application → Local Storage → right-click → Clear
- Firefox: DevTools → Storage → Local Storage → right-click → Delete All
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search for tempmail.savemanager.site → Remove
Clearing storage will end your current session. The address and all its messages will still expire automatically on the server regardless.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we ever add cookies or change how storage is used, this policy will be updated with a new effective date before any such change takes effect.
